Foam Filter

Foam filters use 2 to 3 inch cubes of open-cell polyurethane foam material that is randomly arranged in prefabricated modular units. The absorbent media utilizes internal surface areas within the foam cubes to help maximize microbial treatment and detention times.

The foam media is usually dosed by helical spray nozzles. The dosed effluent flows through the foam material and is collected at the base of the media filter, where it can be recirculated and sent to the recirculation tank or it can be single-pass and sent to the final treatment and dispersal component.
